Weekend Brunch - Seasons Bistro

Seasons Bistro

Its not easy to find good eatery in Orchard Road. It is easy to find food yes, but good and affordable food? That might just be cutting it close. Taking over the former space of Applebee's at Triple One Somerset, Seasons Bistro- as its name suggest, is all about eating with the season. The menu changes seasonally because Thomas the owner believes that the produce is at its freshest during its own season and therefore highly accessible. Also because the ingredients are widely available during this period, costs are lowered and savings are passsed on to the customers by keeping the prices low and affordable. Brunch item from $10-$18 and $8-$12 for desserts.

The food served here is more of a reflection on how diverse the American culture has grown with touches of Mexican, Canadian, New England and New York City and not the usual burgers and fries that we always eat.

The Lumberjack $18 with its alluring fried sunny side up and addictive fries was loved by many. Stacked with a round slight doughy pancake that was good to eat even on it's own, smoked bacon and a chunky sausage bursting out of its skin. Bon Appétit!

From the Weekend Brunch menu list, do try out the Montreal & Lox $15. Featuring a winning combination of smoked salmon and capers served with toasted bagel and cream cheese. Appetising presentation with the vibrant colours of this dish ticked all the boxes for most people.

For something a littlle creative and different, order their Freedom Toast $15 with bread soaked in beaten eggs and herbs for added flavour, smoked bacon, creamy brie and doused freely in maple syrup. An interesting savoury variation to your regular cloyingly sweet French Toast. Giving you all the freedom you need. Do add a dessert if you still have some more space. Our suggestion would be their must try Season's Carrot Cake $12 which is hardly pedestrian evidently from the first bite that is packed ful with chopped walnuts while the cake itself is moist and not too dense, with just the right amount of cream cheese.
