Fusion Cuisine - Eighteen Chefs

Have you ever went to a restaurant and couldn't decide what you wanted to eat because the menu was very limited, and you didn't want to order the same thing that you ate in the restaurant last week? If you're interested in trying out new things everytime and not being limited in your choice, then you've gotta visit this restaurant because there's no end to the wide variety of food choices that they have to offer!

To start things off, they have two different menus: Specials & Main Menu
So what's in the menu you might ask? Pancakes, Steaks, Burgers, Fried rice, Pastas, Desserts, you name it, they've got it. To top it off, there's even a kids menu so you don't have to worry about bringing your kids and not having something to eat.

In their restaurant they call their fried rice, "Heart Attack Fried Rice". Fried rice served with New York strips and with the option of adding spring chicken or just having it with egg. With the tenderness of the New York strips complimented with the tangy sour plum mayonnaise, I would say this fried rice is definitely worth dying for.

Ahhhhh, Fish & Chips, a classic favourite among many people. But there's a twist, their very own version comes covered in a root beer batter. With a tar tar sauce dip on the side, there's no way you won't like this version of Fish & Chips.

If you think this is just any other ordinary burger, you're wrong. This is THE Eighteen Beef Burger, the only beef burger they have on the menu. Succulent sauteed slices of beef fillets with lettuce, tomato slices and cheddar cheese all within a toasted bun. Every bite that you take comes with a burst of flavour. Served with a side of seasonal potato wedge, there's isn't really any other burger that could compare.

A dish where East meets West, a perfect fusion, the Tom Yam Seafood Aglio Olio. This is exactly what happens when you mix two cultures into one dish. It might seem like a fluke, but it actually comes with a punch. A classic aglio olio accompanied with the heat from prawns and mussels soaked in Tom Yam flavour, a really well mix of flavours.

What really sets this place apart from the rest, is that you can customize your dishes from a wide selection of sauces and ingredients. Among all the choices, I personally really loved Double cheese baked pasta with chunks of salmon inside japanese curry sauce. The way the salmon just flakes apart when you bite it, and how it remains so moist on the inside tastes like heaven.

Do you have an additional stomach for dessert? If you do, make sure you try out The Black Beauty. It's a homemade brownie with two scoops of ice cream with chocolate sauce. Garnished beautifully, there's a bit of guilt that will be felt when you cut a slice of the brownie, but it's also so delicious that you won't be able to resist, somewhat like a guilty pleasure :D

Eighteen Chefs currently has 5 branches in Singapore, with the most recent one being in AMK. If you would like to visit them, here are the locations:
